Adjustable Pillows
An adjustable pillow lets you change its height because the right loft depends on your shoulders, mattress and sleeping position. A zip gives you access to loose fill, so you can change the fit instead of guessing between fixed heights.
Start small: remove a handful of fill, spread the rest evenly, then sleep on it for a night. Repeat in small steps as needed; give each change a night or two. Keep removed fill in a bag so you can add it back later. Shredded fill needs an occasional fluff to redistribute it.
Adjustable loft pillows suit combination sleepers, anyone between two standard lofts, and people unsure which height to choose. Compare the add-or-remove fill of Tune with the shredded memory foam of Flex. Prefer a shape that stays defined? The two-sided Amity contour pillow is the fixed-shape alternative, rather than a loose-fill pillow.
Read the adjustable pillow guide, take the pillow-height quiz, or compare memory foam pillows and side-sleeper pillows before choosing.
